GUR Flocking with tupera tupera project was born from the desire to unite traditional Portuguese weaving and contemporary
Japanese illustration, promoting an artistic exchange between Portugal and Japan.
This collaboration, curated by Célia Esteves and Yoko, seeks to create a space for dialogue between cultures, preserving and reinventing techniques. Smaller size than other gur rugs 40cm x 60cm.

The exhibition is inspired by the flight of migratory birds, which depend on cooperation to strengthen themselves and maintain their ancestral routes. The duo tupera tupera, Tatsuya Kameyama and Atsuko Nakagawa draw on this ornithological imagery to create their illustrations and rugs.
